This place is perfect for special occasions. We have booked it for around 1000 people. The place accommodates many more. We held events and extra activities, which suited well. It has enough car park, might need to walk a little but if you miss the parking near by.
Facilities are well managed and clean. Some part of it is old, but might be the character of the whole thing, can not complain that much about it.
Firework night was great, The Fair Wasn't too bad and they coped well with the mud all round d good evening
Had a brilliant day out at Leicester races. Beautiful course, all staff very helpful and friendly and the course was spotlessly clean. Good choice of food and drink outlets available. Plenty of seating inside and outside for the size of the course. Really easy to get around with a pushchair as well. Had a really fantastic day!
A great day out ! Went to watch my mates horse run in the 4.50 I think it finished in the 6.45 but had so much fun ,everyone very friendly apart from the melt who shouted at me and said I stepped on his foot, but when your 18 stone what can they do,?
Went to the firework display at Race course Saturday 4th Nov 2023. Very disappointed, its sold as a family event, but it really isn't. Ticket price includes fair rides, when there wasn't any child friendly rides. Childrens fireworks were at 7.30pm and the main firework display was at 9.30pm, which is far to late for families. Loads of bars/beer tents. I'm pretty sure if your an adult and enjoy drinking alcohol, it would have been a good evening out, but its defiantly not for families with children under the age of 10. We attend the event every year, but this year it was awful. Previously it has catered for children. Previously the price to enter was around £8, this year it was £15, the ticket is sold to include fair rides etc, but whats the point if non of our children could get on the rides. We paid a lot more for nothing
good weather good food
A relaxing day~
If you have the opportunity to come to Leicester, you can come here to experience the historic horse racing
I usually come here for the annual car show.
This year they had free entry as usually to the main, large exhibition and entertainment/food area with paid tickets to the so called VIP area where you could admire more of a prestige, sports and exotic cars.
Plenty of free parking with parking stewards directing the traffic.
I am surprised though each year that not all car dealerships from the area decide participate.
Went for the fireworks this year. Huge crowd queuing for the “free stuff” which was candyfloss. We queued for one and half hour (through mud and rain) to get to the swing! Because rides are included, everybody want to try everything which …
A small racecourse with a cheerful atmosphere. There is one main stand which is conveniently located very close to the paddock. From the stand you get a good , elevated view of the course. On my visit the public address system was not at …
Really good display of fireworks The ABBA show was a bit of let down though they wasn't that good also you couldn't hear Wes Morgan talking when he was on stage.
